Opening Day in Detroit
AutoCAD
June 15 2008
Here is one of my favorite architectural renderings. I had the idea and I accomplished it by going to the stadium, watching the games, and using photos that my dad took of the stadium when he worked as an electrician while the ballpark was being built. I also used a wallet size schedule seating chart as sort of a blueprint to make it as close as possible to the actual dimensions. I used AutoCAD to model this and Viz Render to render it. If you were wondering what I used to texture it, I used PaintShop Pro because I did not have Photoshop yet. I then used Maya in later years to make the updated Comerica Park in an iphone commercial. It took about 4 to 5 weeks.
